THE GOAT IN THE CHILI PATCH
The Ware House Puppets present "The Goat in the Chili Patch,” a Mexican folktale adapted by Rick Strot, Senior Lecturer at Baylor University, and features characters that speak in both English and Spanish! Yet, not a bit of action is lost on audiences speaking only one of those languages. This show presents themes of friendship, sharing and courage, demonstrating what happens to rude, selfish individuals and offers a simple moral: sometimes the littlest one can get the job done!
ABOUT
The puppeteers of The Ware House Puppets began performing together in the spring of 2005 as a volunteer troupe for the Mayborn Museum at Baylor University in Waco, TX. The troupe performed local and national festivals including Waco Arts Fest 2009. Most troupe members are certified teachers and as well as members of the Puppeteers of America. “The Goat in the Chili Patch” is a local favorite and was also been seen at the 2007 National puppetry festival of The Puppeteers of America in St. Paul, MN. We’re pleased to bring this charming little show to the Waco Cultural Arts Festival, with all the humor and zaniness expected from the Ware House Puppets.
